Since version 3.3.6b.3 Sympa uses a new user_data_source 'include2' that provides cache in DB and mixed included+subscribed members. This new 'include2' mode implies database structure changes, actually 3 new fields added to subscriber_table.

When using MySQL, Sympa tries to perform database structure changes automatically. 1 of the 3 new fields had been forgotten in List.pm and database update was not complete. This can lead to strange behavior of the 'include2' feature.

It you upgraded to a 3.3.6b.3/3.4.x release and didn't update the database structure yourself, then you should apply the following patch to sources, make install and restart sympa.pl :
http://listes.cru.fr/cgi-bin/cvsweb.cgi/sympa/src/List.pm.diff?r1=1.333.2.18&r2=1.333.2.19&f=u

Many thanks to Robert Marchand from Montreal University who reported this problem.
