Hi,

Got this several time making some customs package, there is a permission problem (user/chmod) for one of this 3 following folders :
- perl/bin (custome build perl path)
- /opt/sympa/bin/ (script path)
- /etc/httpd/logs/fcgidsock/  (httpd logs)


What you should have:
-rwxr-xr-x.  1 sympa sympa 595106 16 janv. 11:53 wwsympa.fcgi
drwxr-xr-x.   3 sympa sympa  4096 20 avril 09:51 bin
 - Here with apache.conf :
User sympa
Group sympa

drwxrwx---. 3 root  sympa     4096  2 mai   11:58 httpd
drwx------ 2 sympa  root   36864  4 avril 06:57 httpd/fcgidsock

drwxr-xr-x.  6 root  root        50 10 nov.  14:20 perl
-rwxrwxrwx. 1 root root    2793 10 nov.  14:30 perl/bin/*

After a quick restart (sympa/httpd) , you can check if user sympa is able to create directory in httpd/sock logs.

I have tried to patch a Centos 6.x system hosting Sympa 6.0.x running apache 2.2.x sometime last year.

An error came up after a full system patch.  The administrator who configured this listserv application compiled all the perl modules by hand.

 

Sympa was not happy, after rebooting this server, sympa service wasn’t able to come up with its website due to this error.

 

I was wondering has anyone encountered this error message before and maybe found a method to remedy this problem ?
