Bonjour à tous, hello,
my name is Guido, I'm a system administrator at the University of Verona
(Italy), and I'm going to deploy Sympa to replace our simple mail aliases.
We wrote our own scenario for permitting only certain users to write to our
lists. We called it "send.univr":
is_subscriber([listname],[sender]) smtp -> request_auth
match([sender], /univr.it/) smtp -> request_auth
true() md5,smime -> do_it
that is: list subscribers and people from the univr.it mail domain must
confirm the distribution of messages.
A serious problem arises, though. Some of our lists include other lists, which
in turn may include other lists, up to three levels of nesting. For example,
the list "top" includes the lists "mid1", "mid2", and "mid3". In turn, "mid1"
includes a few email addresses and the list "bottom". All lists require
confirmation.
Now, if I send a message to "top", I'll receive a confirmation request from
Sympa. I confirm, then the message is sent to "mid1", "mid2", and "mid3". For
each list, I will receive confirmation requests... and so on and on. Actually,
our top-level lists include up to ten nested lists.
Receiving up to ten confirmation requests is clearly unacceptable, and my
colleagues and I tried hard to find a solution. Unfortunately, we haven't come
up with anything sensible.
I wonder if anybody has addressed this problem and solved it? I'd be very
grateful to receive hints and suggestions.
Thank you in advance,
Guido Gonzato
