What was working for me: uninstall oackage, wipe ort config-directory, 
re-install sympa. Invoked sympa --make alias file and copy it to the 
desired location. Then postalias worked as expected, service is up an 
running again. Don't know, if this an adequate solution, but at least it 
helped for the moment.
