Hi,
I’m trying to install sympa on my server: Debian 13 trixie woth
apache2, configured according to the excellent tutorial at
(https://workaround.org/ispmail-trixie). I installed sympa from Debian
packages (version 6.2.76~dfsg-1) and configured according to instructions
(many things, like services are already preconfigured in distribution
packages). Sympa itself seems to work, as I can send to
address@concealed <mailto:address@concealed> and it
gets delivered to postmaster, but I cannot get the web interface to work. I
used the virtual domain setting as the ispmail server already uses virtual
domains.
I configured the correct url (using https) both in robot.conf and in
sympa.conf and enabled the apache conf files included in the distribuition
(that provide all the configurations described in the manual).
The wwwsympa socket is created (and has the proper user www-data for Debian)
and loaded, the proxy_fcgi module is enabled.
The /run/sympa/wwsympa.socket exists and has the correct permissions
(srw-rw---- 1 www-data www-data).
But when I try to login to the sympa interface, I’m getting a 403 Forbidden
error in the browser.
There are no relevant errors in apache logs, only "GET /sympa HTTP/1.1" 403
1975 “-“ in other_vhosts_access.log, even though I set apache2 loglevel to
debug. Nothing in sympa.log, only messages that the services started.
Nothing relevant to sympa or fcgi in journalctl. And now I’m stuck, how can I
debug this if there’s nothing in the logs?
Other www services on this server (roundcube and ispmailadmin) work fine.
Regards
Pawel
