Hi Aaron,

The old-style syntax is currently broken, see 
https://github.com/sympa-community/sympa/issues/2049
You can use the new-style syntax instead :
sympa close --mode=purge address@concealed

I'll try and backport the fix to the rpm packages when I have a bit of 
time.
