The mailing list for listmasters using Sympa

I've now had a couple of instances where mailing list owners have
wanted to rename their lists, but also retain the old list address
so messages sent there can be forwarded to the new list address.

However, I've found that just trying to add to /etc/aliases things like
        old-listname:   new-listname
        old-listname:   address@concealed
do not really cut it when using virtual aliases, trying to send to
the old-listname address you get somewhat strange bounce messages
asserting that new-listname just doesn't exist.

Is the correct format documented somewhere, somehow my searching
skills just aren't sufficient for this?
