Dear list members,
Facing the upgrade of our 6.2.16 sympa server, I came through the new community sympa installation role: https://github.com/sympa-community/ansible-role-sympa/
It's great. Thanks @racke! Sympa installation documentation is also very good and clear. So it was quite straight forward to code an ansible collection which installs a full configured instance of Sympa, including PostgreSQL database, nginx, postfix and certbot:
https://galaxy.ansible.com/ui/repo/published/cielito/sympa/content/role/sympa/
I take advantage of the community sympa role, as well as four other chosen roles to install and configure PostgreSQL, nginx, postfix and certbot.
Hope it can be useful. Comments, testing and contributions warmly welcome.
We still have to test and code some options, like sympa virtual hosts or dkim management, but we have the core of a running sympa instance, very easy to deploy.
We will be trying to migrate our running sympa 6.2.16 server. Any recommendation to upgrade from a 6.2.16 to current sympa stable version? can I migrate the database and upgrade? I was not very successful upgrading a clone of our running 6.2.16, should I follow a path of intermediate versions?
Thanks for your attention. kindly, daniel
