Just for sanity's sake:  What are the permissions on /etc/sympa and 
/etc/sympa/aliases.sympa.postfix?


I set mine up this way:

alias_maps =                lmdb:/etc/postfix/aliases
                            lmdb:/etc/sympa/sympa_aliases

alias_database =            lmdb:/etc/postfix/aliases
                            lmdb:/etc/sympa/sympa_aliases

Where /etc/sympa/sympa_aliases is group-readable by Postfix, and that 
appears to Just Work.
