Thank you for the hint.

I believe I remember trying that before. In my opinion, it didn't work. The text you linked contains the line:

"The first choice determines what the reply address should be set to:

sender – the reply address is set to sender (the address given in the From field)."

That, in my view, was the problem, because the From: field was already set to an address from the Sympa server, since the recipient's DMARC check expects a matching alignment. When replying, the recipient would therefore see a dummy address on the Sympa server.

The actual author of the email is only preserved in the X-Original-From: field.

Also, I think it's inconvenient to have to apply a special configuration for every list when it's a general issue.

Of course, access to the Postfix configuration is required for this. But that’s not a problem in this case.

Well, if it works for you, but I wouldn't do it at email server level. It is supposed to be done at list level, and I would use the Sympa web admin interface for configuration.
