Brian –
Hmm – you are correct. I just used Firefox to create a list and my address was not included. I’m not sure I understand how Chrome is autofilling when I am using Sympa’s site to CREATE a list, not editing it after creation, which was my problem. But I’ll take this as a solution. Another paragraph for our troubleshooting document!
Thanks Betty

I’ve noticed this as a result of Google Chrome autofill behavior, when editing list configs via the web interface and Chrome. You may want to use a different browser or adjust those autofill settings.

Hi,
I am one of 2 listmasters for our Sympa 6.2.64 environment. Whenever I create a new list, my email address gets added to the field File inclusion (include_file)(default) in the list’s Data sources setup. Whenever anyone else (other listmaster or privileged owners who have list creation rights) creates a list, this field is empty.
This hasn’t been a problem – until I started testing using a subscriber data source. Whenever I click the Manage List Members “synchronize members with data sources” button on a list I created I get a popup message: “Including subscribers from data source ‘address@concealed’ into list [listname] failed “
This is causing a problem when I want to remove/unsubscribe a previously-added local_list subscriber data source. After removing it and updating Data Sources, I go to the Manage List Members page and attempt to synchronize members – in addition to giving me the above failed message, it also fails to remove the subscribers in the deleted data source: “Inclusion partially failed (0 added, 3 held, 0 updated)” for an attempt to remove the 3 addresses from the deleted data source.
I can fix this data removal failure by deleting my email address from the Data Sources File Inclusion (include_file) field – then I can successfully run a member synchronization that removes the deleted data source’s addresses.
I’d prefer not to need to manually remove myself from that field in every list I create – from where is Sympa list creation picking up my (and only my) address for this field?
Thanks for any help. Betty Widerski
