Hi Betty - I’ve seen a number of sophisticated list owners setup a data source for remote file inclusion where the target file is actually a script that queries a db, AD, etc…. for membership. As long as the return from the script is one email address per line, sympa is quite happy and oblivious to whether the data comes from a remote file or a script. As such, the remote script can be written in your favorite flavor: powershell, bash, python, perl, etc….
Hope this helps,
Terry

Hi –
Is anyone using the Sympa management PowerShell script PSSympa (found at https://www.powershellgallery.com/packages/PSSympa/1.2) ?
I have a user that wants to use PowerShell to update residence hall lists from their StarRez db when people move in/out. I figured they would need to use O365 Groups in order to do PS updates, but ran across this script. However, it hasn’t been updated since 2017 so I’m dubious it will function with Sympa current version, or might break when Sympa is upgraded eventually.
Thanks for any info on either this script or other method to use PoweShell to update Sympa lists. Betty
