Yes. There is a bug filed [1], for which the developers have provided some patches [2]. It has resolved the issue for us.

Dear Sympa users,

I'm facing this on Sympa 6.2.68 multidomain on CentOS 7.9 from GUI
interface: if I try to add a privileged owner to a list ticking the box
"privileged owner" above the field "mail address", the user is added as
normal owner and then must be edited and modified as privileged owner.

Has anyone faced the same issue?
