The mailing list for listmasters using Sympa

I have a couple of customizations I'd like to make to some sympa mailing 
lists, but would like some advice about how to do them.

1. As a user I can go to a list and select Subscriber Options.
  There I can select 'text-only mode' as the Receiving mode and
  apply modification.  Some of our lists really should be text only
  for all users due the the nature of the content.  How can I
  make 'text-only mode' the default for a list?

2. How can I make the archives display messages text only?
   currently the html output does not display formatting properly.

3. Some of our lists have a long history. For instance,

   https://lists4.linuxfromscratch.org/sympa/arc/alfs-discuss/2021-04/

   How can I get the history to display in reverse order?  That is,
   instead of year 2000 to year 2021, how can I make the order start
   at the current year and display other years in descending order?
