The Sympa docs describe the value for the entry key of "domain" in
file sympa.conf to be, quote:
The “primary” mail domain name of the *mailing list service* [emphasis
added]. If your Sympa provides multiple domains and at anytime domain
is not specified, this domain will be used. If your Sympa provides
service for single domain, it is primary domain.
End quote.
In that definition does "mailing list service" mean the the host
domain running Sympa, or the default domain for mailing lists if none
is entered?
I plan to have multiple lists of the form "address@concealed",
"address@concealed", etc., all valid domains that I own. I''m
hosting Sympa on my with Linux server with hostname
"mail.mydomain.net". So my question is: what MX record do I use for
the other domains?
From my limited experience with GNU Mailman I expect all lists at any
domains should have the same MX record: the name of the domain with
the actual mail server. In my case it would be something like:
@. MX IN 10 mail.mydomain.net.
But in reading further it looks like I need a different MX record for
each domain:
@. MX IN 10 mail.example1.org.
@. MX IN 10mail.example3.com.
Thanks for proper guidance.
Best regards,
-Tom
