The mailing list for listmasters using Sympa

Hello;

We're running Sympa 6.1.17. When we close a list, the mail aliases are removed, so any incoming message addressed to the closed list is rejected with a "550 user unknown."

Is it possible to instead reply with a "the list you've tried contacting has been closed"? I've seen references to this functionality on other universities' websites, but no details on how to configure it.
