Great!

I was keen on the LDAP way, but was not sure if the unsubscribed users will be added to the list as part of the sync – I could not find any documentation relating to that.

Your assistance is of great help!

My goal is to create a list will all our current users in our Active Directory as members – Exporting and importing into Sympa not a problem.

This list should get updated as we create new users in our Active Directory, however, I do not want users to be re-added to the list if they have already unsubscribed for whatever reason.

Is there a way to accomplish this?

This should be easy with Sympa - I did something very similar at my last job.

Just set up a list with an LDAP external datasource - you can configure an LDAP query to restrict to a particular group (with AD you'll need a 2-level query for this)  or just pull out everything.  This will be able to autoupdate at whatever schedule you specify.

If people are unsubscribed then they will be added to the Exclusion list, which is applied after the LDAP retrieve, so you get that behaviour by default.

So you only need to have LDAP access, and won't need to do any messy export/import stuff.
