Woops.

The right parameter is "aliases_program", sorry.

By defaults, its value is "newaliases".

Mays you should set it to "postalias"? Also cyou can check who can run "newaliases" and "postalias", jsut to be sure. the sympa user should be able to do it.

The Sympa user must alos have write access to your alias file.

Finally, the program running newaliases is the sympa_newaliases-wrapper. Check that it has the "s" bit and belong to the Sympa user.

This parameter doesn't  exist on my /etc/sympa/sympa.conf file.
I can't find the "alias" string.
The unique parameter that regards email are:

sendmail /usr/sbin/sendmail
maxstmp 40
log_smtp off

Then all other regards size of messages, bulk operations, path for spool etc.

I think /etc/sympa/sympa.conf is the right place...
apt-get install sympa was my command!
