Hi, There is a simpler solution. Apply your mysqldump to the VM, then edit the <sympa_home>/etc/data _structure.version. Change the value it contains from '6.1.22' to '6.1.17', then run 'sympa.pl --upgrade'. It will do all the changes your data need, including updating the database. I’ve installed apache, mysql and sympa-6.1.20 on the virtual machine and copied over apache, mysql and sympa config files, making edits as appropriate. I was going to rsync the list_data and archive directories, then install the sympa database from a mysqldump. I was wondering from the mysql side of things if this would work as I think the sympa-6.1.20 mysql database is slightly different compared with the sympa-6.1.17 one. Would it be better to upgrade Sympa on the Solaris machine first before migrating it to the virtual machine? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Regards Gordon --
