Excellent, thank you David. Remove_headers is what I need.

Hi Kristi,
A possibility would be to remove the Auto-replied header from the incoming messages. You can do this by using the remove_headers sympa.conf or list parameter.
The problem is that, as this part of the code is there to prevent messages loops, loops can happen after.
Cheers,
David

address@concealed">A little more information - I commented out this section from sympa.pl, and now messages from JIRA are no longer being rejected:
## Ignore messages that would cause a loop## Content-Identifier: Auto-replied is generated by some non standard X400 mailer# if ($hdr->get('Content-Identifier') =~ /Auto-replied/i ||# $hdr->get('X400-Content-Identifier') =~ /Auto Reply to/i ||# ($hdr->get('Auto-Submitted') && $hdr->get('Auto-Submitted') ne 'no')) {# do_log('notice', "Ignoring message which would cause a loop");# return undef;# }
Is there any workaround so that I don't need to customize sympa.pl? Thanks.-Kristi

David,
The send scenario of this particular list is public. However, there are a number of lists that are experiencing this problem. Most of them use public or public_nobcc, but I did find one using private.
Sympa rejects JIRA messages due to loop detection:
Sep 30 22:04:31 esgsympa21 sympa[17518]: notice main::DoFile() Processing
/address@concealed ; sender:
address@concealed#012 ; message-id: <14808705.15973.1349057069367.JavaMail.SYSTEM@JHISISPSUP12>#012
Sep 30 22:04:31 esgsympa21 sympa[17518]: notice main::DoFile() Ignoring message which would cause a loop
Sep 30 22:04:31 esgsympa21 sympa[17518]: notice Moving bad file
address@concealed to bad/
Thanks for your help.

Cheers,
David
