Hi Andrew,

I can't reproduce this behaviour. Sympa does not change anything in the messages it processes. It can, however, strip some of the HTML in the moderation page of the web interface, to prevent XSS.
But messages are sent unchanged (except for some optional additions, such as message footer, etc.)

Do you have an example of such a message that was changed by Sympa? I'd like to see the original version and the changed version, please.

                Sympa 6.1.9    When sending to a list using HTML formatted mail.  If the list user is not moderated the mail passes through with the format intact.  When the user is moderated and the mail is approved, the mail is sent in plain text.  The HTML formatting is removed.  Is there a way to let moderated HTML mail be released intact since some of our users insist on their fancy backgrounds,  formatting and such?
