Hi James,

You should look explore the digest spool in search for a file whose date is the date of the emergency restart. Maybe it is corrupted.

Also, any sympa process logs standard errors to a file located in the Sympa spool "tmp" whose name is <pid>.stderr, where the <pid> is the pid number of the Sympa process.
Most of the time, when a process crashes, you will find at the last line of this file, an error explaining why the process crashed. try to look at it and send us details about it.

So after an emergency restart a few nights ago. The sympa.pl part of sympa started to crash around the same time (9pm to midnight). Every time I restart during this time, sympa.pl keeps crashing.  This is the time when the digest e-mails go out. Once it hits 12 it starts running just fine again.

 

I was running version 6.1.3 but upgraded to 6.1.4 to see fi that would fix the issues.

These are the 10 lines of the log before the crash:

I am going to look at Language now to see if there is something wrong with it, but I was hoping someone else had this issue and was able to fix it.
