Hi Nick,

Is the bulk.pl daemon running? It is a new daemon that appeared in the 6.0, whose only purpose is to send mails. Most of the service messages don't use this daemon, in order that Sympa is able to communicate with admin event if this daemon fails.

You should update the Sympa init script to make sure the start/stop/restart takes this daemon into account.

Over this weekend I upgraded my sympa to 6.0.5 from 5.3a.10.

It appeared to go well, but this morning it is evident that messages on
my lists are not, in fact, reaching the list subscribers.

Subscription, unsubscription and other admin messages are received and
sent appropriately, so the mail handoff to the qmail binary is clearly
working.

Message approvals are working, and once the message is approved, it is
being added to the archive, but subscribers to the lists simply do not
receive the message.

Is it possible that something in sympa's new set-up is resulting in the
outgoing messages for lists being stripped out by qmail and / or
spam/virus filters? Have I forgotten something?

Any suggestions gratefully received.
