Cool wasn't aware of this tweak. Just implemented it on my server, has greatly improved the responsiveness of the web interface!

Thanks!

Hi,

When displaying the list of list, sympa must evaluate the visibility
scenario for each list, to know if the person asking to view the list is
allowed to do so.
The implies to read each lists' config and evaluate their scenario.
reading the config file is the toughest job. If you have a lot of lists,
you shoul use the config.bin files; they are cache binary version of
config files. Reading them don't need parsing or analysis on the Sympa
part. It greatly improves the performances.

Please read the documentation part regarding config.bin files:
https://www.sympa.org/manual/conf-parameters/part3#cache_list_config
And the FAQ addressing performance issues in Sympa :
https://www.sympa.org/faq/performances

Regards,

David
