Hi Jason,
The "header" you can modify is the header of the message body. It is a text (or an attachment) that is included at the beginning of the message text.
You can't modify SMTP headers this way.
I guess the only way to do this would be to change the Sympa code.

Hello All!
I'm using Sympa 5.2.3 and I was wondering if I was able to customize what goes
in the "To" field on the email. I would like to have the recipient's email
address in the "To" field and then add the name if it is available.
I read up on the docs and found where I can customize the "header" but I
couldn't find any examples so I don't know if this is possible yet.
Thanks for your time!
Jason
