Hi Ståle,

You're right ; that behavior should be changed. The default Sympa web 
interface used to be /wws and is now /sympa. I've fixed Conf.pm in the 
development branch.
Thanks for reporting this.

Note however that Conf.pm only sets the default value for wwsympa_url 
parameter, if it was not explicitly defined in sympa.conf. The best way 
to avoid this annoyance is to set the wwsympa_url parameter in your 
sympa.conf file to the appropriate value.
