Hi David, David Mayo a écrit : I have spotted what appears to be an undocumented feature to Sympa lurking in the create_list_request.tt2 file and I would like to know how to use it. The line is this: [% IF template.value.selected %] checked="checked" [% END %] (bigger snippet in [1]) This implies to me there is a way of making one of the list templates selected by default. How can I specify this? This is not a hidden feature ; the 'selected' variable make it possible to select the keep track of the selected template when the user did not fill all required and is brought back to the create_list form. If you wish to provide a URL with preselected template ; you can just do it this way : http://sympa.bath.ac.uk/sympa/create_list_request?template=hotline As an interesting side note, at a meeting we had here recently before launching this new service, it was decided that we give the users as few choices as possible. We started off with about 6 templates but felt that users would not be interested in reading all the choices before making a decision. We've now only got two choices - a standard list, using some sensible defaults, and a list that can be attached to one of our LDAP groups. It would also be nice to be able to put these templates in order and give them 'friendly' names rather than the name of the directory the template is stored in. I will submit a feature request for these though...You're right ; please submit a feature request. |
