While we are discussing this, we would like to do this as well, and, we'd also like to be able to do the same for Oracle DB based lists as well.

How can the periodic "sync_include" task be disabled?
We do not want the mailing list members to be synchronized with the LDAP data source every time a list's TTL expires. Instead, we would like for member synchronizations to occur only after the expiration of a TTL *and* when a member related event is triggered (i.e. Member review command or receiving a message to a list). This should greatly reduce the number of queries performed against the LDAP directory.
Although, member synchronization can continue to be performed manually using the "Synchronize members with data source" button in wwsympa.
