I ran into this situation as well.

There is a bug, it seems, in bounced where it'll loop with that error  
message if there is one occurrence of a connection error between  
bounced and the mysql database. What caused this situation in my case  
was that the maximum number of concurrent connections to the mysql  
server was reached. Increasing the maximum number of concurrent  
connections in mysql relieved this problem.
