I may have not explained the problem very well 8-). But the default behavior
is not what I want (see below)

That is the type behaviour I want, HOWEVER it does not work for html
attachments - at least not in 5.2.x versions. The do_arc code explicitly
checks for a html extension and then does NOT set the bypass param/flag .
Hence wwsympa attempts to display the attachment content IN-LINE along with
the message body. TT2 doesnt like including these attachment files, because
do_arc hasnt added the archive directory to the valid paths list when it
ries to render it.
I dont want the inlne rendering anyway as the html attachments are not
suitable for inline display (they have their own embedded css stylesheet).
I need them to display _as sent, in a seperate window_ . I had to modify
the mhonarc settings to stop it from filtering the html too.

I have got it working now - by commenting out the code that prevents the
bypass flag being set . I do not want inline display of any html
attachments if there is already a message body. Perhaps there should be a
switch in the config file to allow html attachments to be linked instead of
inlined if there is already a main message body ?
