Hi!

I am moving all my old mailing list over to sympa, one
of them is a newsletter mailinglist.

Now I have about 30 newsletters that I would like to put
into the new archive now run by sympa.

I have those newsletters, I could re-send them to sympa
but they would show up with incorrect dates.

Is it possible to "backdate"?

This isn't the way you should import your previous archives into Sympa. There's a much easier way to accomplish this by following these steps:

1) Put your 30 newsletter emails into one mbox format file

2) Use http://www.sympa.org/distribution/contrib/mbox2sympa.pl to convert that mbox file to Sympa's mail archive format. Follow the instructions in that perl script.

3) Go into Sympa's admin page and rebuild your archives.

The dates for your archives will be selected by the date contained in the Date: header of each newsletter email, so there's no need to manually backdate or alter anything.
