The mailing list for listmasters using Sympa

I had a fresh install of sympa 5.2 on working fine.

What I wanted to do was to migrate archives and config settings of all the 
mailing lists from another sympa server and migrate them onto the new 5.2 
install.

I used

as a reference for moving the lists from the old server and onto the 5.2 
install.

1. I backed up /var/lib/mysql/sympa, /home/sympa/spool/, /home/sympa/expl/, 
home/sympa/arc, and /etc/sympa.conf & wwsympa.conf - and moved them to the 
new server.

2. I edit the /data_structure.version on the new server ; change the version 
value to reflect the old number - 4.1.5 instead of 5.2.

I am locked out.  I'm not able to log in via ldap or the user table.

The reason I'm guessing is that i overwrote sympa.conf, and changed the value 
of 'cookie' parameter to the the value on the old server.

upgrading Sympa on a new server take care that you start with the same value

I read the above statement the wrong way.

I tried changing the value of 'cookie' back to the original value, but I'm 
still locked out.

Is there any way to fix this?
