I too have had complaints from our users about this feature/problem.

A quick look at the code left me with the impression that it was overly broad in its interpretation of what was a possible command. But even cleaning that up would not make my users happy. This does not look like a quick, easy thing to fix but I do think it needs to be looked into.

At this point I don't have any good ideas for solutions but I am open to suggestions.

While experimenting with a sympa installation, I discovered that messages sent
to sympa lists with words that sympa interprets as potential commands get
refused with an error that reads in part:

"The following message was sent to a list while it seems to contain commands
like subscribe, unsubscribe, help, index, get, ..."

A quick search of the ./etc/mail_tt2 directory revealed this template was not
there. After some digging, I found the message in ./bin/tools.pl. Which leads
me to a few questions:

* Why is this message not part of the template area? This is not meant to be
accusitory, I'm genuinely confused as to why this single message isn't where
all the other messages are.

* The message also reads "Please contact the manager of the service : %s so
that they can take care of your message", yet no notice was sent to the
listmaster and no mechanism seems to be in place to "pass on" the message. Does
such a mechanism exist? Where/how would I work with it?

* Is there a way to alter this behavior? We're a national non- profit which
deals with mental health issues (http://www.nami.org), and "help" in particular
will be an extremely common component of message subjects sent to groups.

Thank you for your attention and any help you can provide.
