EX_TEMPFAIL is an error code from Sympa's queue program. It indicates that it cannot create a temporary file for the message in the msg spool. Follow the procedures listed in the FAQ to fix your problem : http://www.sympa.org/fom-serve/cache/9.html

I have added a symbolic link to queue and bouncequeue into /etc/smrsh

Any ideas why it would exit with ex_tempfail?
