I'm making good progress with Sympa, and liking it a lot. However, one
issue I'm struggling with concerns the use of 'add' to add names to a
list.

Can someone explain the point in the difference between having 'add' set
to (owner) and (owner_notify)? It appears that even with the option set
to (owner) the list owner receives a reply to their 'add' command, in an
email headed 'Results of your commands'. Since in both cases only the
list owner can make the 'add' command work, isn't it superfluous to have
Sympa both reply to the list owner and, optionally, notify them as well
- the same person!

One of my list owners says he doesn't want any email response when he
adds an address to a list. So I changed the setting from (owner_notify)
to (owner) and, although he doesn't get the 'notification', he does
still get the reply from Sympa with the results of his add command. How
can this be turned off too?

Thanks,

Nick
