from the log file:
May 12 15:57:16 sun10101 wwsympa[17424]: [client 198.65.128.172]
do_login(address@concealed)
May 12 15:57:16 sun10101 wwsympa[17424]: [client 198.65.128.172] [user
address@concealed] do_serveradmin
May 12 15:57:39 sun10101 wwsympa[17430]: [client 198.65.128.172] [alt
address@concealed] do_create_list_request()
May 12 15:57:39 sun10101 wwsympa[17430]: [client 198.65.128.172] [alt
address@concealed] do_create_list_request: no user
May 12 15:57:39 sun10101 wwsympa[17430]: [client 198.65.128.172] [alt
address@concealed] do_loginrequest
May 12 17:32:06 sun10101 wwsympa[17424]: [client 198.65.128.172] do_home

so somehow, wwsympa seems to retain my user name, but not that I'm
alreadyy logged in (what's the difference between a log entry of 'user'
and one of 'alt'?)
