The mailing list for listmasters using Sympa

I'm trying to install Sympa 3.4.4 on a SPARC box running Solaris 8.

During the make, I get to the following point and then things die:

....
First installation : installing spool directories...

Creating /home/sympa/spool/moderation
Creating /home/sympa/spool/expire
Creating /home/sympa/spool/auth
Creating /home/sympa/spool/outgoing
Creating /home/sympa/spool/tmp
Creating /home/sympa/spool/task
mkdir -p /etc
Installing sample config file sympa.conf...
/etc/sympa.conf file has been created
/bin/sh: test: argument expected
make: *** [installconfig] Error 1

any suggestions?
