What's in your wwsympa.conf file for the log_facility parameter?  

I actually don't get "WWSympa started" logged anywhere either, but I
think I'm just not getting most of the Sympa logging because of some
configuration problem with FreeBSD's syslog that I haven't looked at
yet.  (I only get the httpd error_log messages from FastCGI.)
