The mailing list for listmasters using Sympa

Hello,
      I've got the mailing server up and running, and I've created a 
mailing list called Artlist.
However, when I sent an email to get subscribed 
using   "|/home/sympa/bin/queue artlist-subscribe",
it shows that action being preformed in the maillog, but no email gets 
subscribed in the mysql
database. Would anybody know how to fix this?
