The mailing list for listmasters using Sympa

I thought it was just me... what's wrong with that?
at sympa.conf I've got this line:

syslog    LOCAL1


then I added the following line at /etc/syslog.conf

local1.*        /var/log/sympa.log

after that I  restart syslogd, restart sympa, wait a couple of weeks and the
logfile remains at 0 bytes.

any hints would be really apreciated.
