- Subject: [sympa-developpers] ARC support for Sympa 6.2
- Date: 22 Sep 2018 16:04:28 -0400
I made pull request #149 which adds support for ARC seals to Sympa
6.2. ARC is intended to fix DMARC rejection problems by giving the
recipient systems a trace of the changes made to the message. It only
applies to forwarded messages, not ones that Sympa originates such as
digests or welcome messages. (Those don't have DMARC problems,
either.)
The code is pretty straightforward and needs no new libraries, since
ARC is included in Mail::DKIM 0.53 and later. The config is similar
to DKIM and for the most part, will default to the same as DKIM signatures
which is usually what you want.
The only thing that may cause confusion is that ARC needs for the
incoming MTA to add an Authentication-Results header to incoming
messages. Many do already, if not there are drop-in postfix milters.
