Dear all,

Sorry for this but switching to another version of Perl is not an option right now.
A large part of the production environement are still from the Red Hat 5.x family, which ships Perl 5.8.8 and no more. Consequently, and due to the large installed base we have, it is not possible to upgrade Perl version.

I'm, however, quiet favorable to switching, when possible, to an existing CPAN module when there is a serious alternative to our home made code.

i really consider that nothing exists under 5.14 :) 

but maybe it's for 7+ versions of sympa ? 

It will be for 7.x or future.

By now, at least earlier 5.8.x may be abandoned.
