- Date: Tue, 04 Dec 2007 16:19:23 +0100
We have been reported a bug with Sympa startup script on Solaris, see https://sourcesup.cru.fr/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=3149&group_id=23&atid=167
The proposed change is to use 'uname -s' to determine to current OS and ignore the value that OSTYPE environment variable may have. Before we apply this change, we need to ensure that it will not break Sympa strartup scipt on different OS.
Therefore we need your help to understand the behavior of all supported OS : please let us know if 'uname' command is supported on your OS and what is the return value.
We need this information for all supported OS/distribution : linux Debian, linux Suse, linux Slackware, FreeBSD, OpenBSD, Darwin, IRIX, HPUX, etc
Thanks for contributing !
