Hi,

we just installed Sympa 5.3a.10 for testing and have 2 Problems.

The first one is, that german special characters like ä, ö, ü  are not
being properly displayed in the admin panels. They are just displayed
either as a few ascii characters or some freaky-looking encodings like
\x{fffd} for the Ö-character. A good browser will interprete the utf8
correctly by force but there are few good browsers out there :). A
possible sollution would be to output the correct encoding with a
Content-Type-Header but i'm not sure if that's the best sollution.


The second one is that the admin-panel is very slow, meaning wwsympa.fcgi
takes long time although it's running as fastcgi on a strong machine. The
strange thing with that is, that it's like nondeterministic if the next
click will fastly lead to a result in the browser or take up to a minute.
(And the server REALLY is not that weak of a machine).
Additionaly we found that in wwsympa.fcgi, mail was included twice.
