S/MIME introduction in Sympa has opened you the way, you can map the
smime subroutine to create pgp ones.

The main drawback of PGP (in some versions) is that it is not MIME ;
this requires that you manipulate messages «by hand», without MIME-tools
support. That's the bad point.

I suppose the Crypt::OpenPGP Perl module
(http://search.cpan.org/search?dist=Crypt-OpenPGP) can make your job easier.
