J. Gruen provides too few information. We can't go further without :
        1/ Apache log entries 
        2/ Sympa log entries
        3/ Sympa debug information if required (see 'log_level' sympa.conf 
parameter)
        4/ MySQL/LDAP log entries concerning authentication
