You're absolutely right, $to is not used as the SMTP envelope (as I thought) 
and should 
be therefore part of $headers hash...

We've added, in mail::mailback(), encoding of 
        o $headers entries, 
        o $to 
        o From: field.

I've also passed the charset parameter to MIME::::Words::encode_mimewords(), 
but
it does not seem to be used...
