Is it possible to send user-customized messages?

I would like include in the message body (or in the included footer) of sent 
messages a string containing the user e-mail.

Even better, is it possible to change the source code of Sympa for doing a 
complete header/footer parsing of tags like "[user->email]"?

I'm currently running Sympa v.3.1.1.
