Announcements of new sympa release

RENATER is proud to present the latest stable version of the Sympa software to the open source community.

This release includes a little bug fix. But as there was no announce for the two previous versions of the 6.1 branch, we felt it was time to give you a little update : Sympa got even better over the summer!

Also, for our French users, here is a quick side note regarding the evolution of the Sympa project after the merger with RENATER:

Depuis l'annonce de l'intégration du CRU à RENATER, des utilisateurs nous posent régulièrement la question du devenir de Sympa dans cette nouvelle organisation.
Qu'ils se rassurent : La pérennité du projet est assurée et les ressources allouées en terme de développement et de support maintenues. Ajoutons que l'activité croissante de contributeurs, notamment internationaux, tendrait même ces derniers temps à dynamiser le projet.
Vos serveurs de listes pourront donc rester Sympa avec vous à l'avenir. ;-)

English version for our English-speaking readers interrested in French institutional organization:

The CRU, the organization hosting the development of the Sympa software was merged into the French national research and education network, called RENATER, since April 1st, 2011 (NOT a late April fool). Since then, we had a lot of questions regarding what Sympa would become in this new organization.
Shortly, nothing changes: the development of the software will go on and the resources dedicated to its development maintained. Actually, considering the current activity of our contributors, particularly the international contributors, the project has seen its dynamism increased this year.
You can then rest assured that your mailing list manager will remain Sympa to you in the future (this last sentence is sadly untranslatable into English as Sympa means "nice" in French which allows a funny, insightful, and incredibly original pun ; sorry, next time we'll develop a mailing list manager, we'll make sure its name can be used in English as well as in French).
