From my understanding and experience, the default expected behavior is that subscribers would be restored.

See: https://www.sympa.community/manual/admin/list-creation.html#removing-a-list

And , e.g., the last post in this thread: https://github.com/sympa-community/sympa/issues/724

The ‘.dump’ file that would retain subscriber information for restoring users to the DB did change names in later versions of Sympa. (subscribers.closed.dump became members.dump)

Hello,

It was the same for me. Same version,  Rhel7 and RPM.

Perhaps yon can notice here if it is not already opened:

Objet : [en@sympa] Change in closed list restore behaviour

We have recently migrated from: 6.0.3 to 6.2.68

In the old version, if you closed a list and then restored it, the subscribers would be restored. In 6.2.68 the subscribers remain empty. This is on RHEL 7 and with a RPM built version.

Is this expected behaviour or am I missing something?

Thanks,

Peter Polkinghorne
